Sola Advogados | Cybersecurity and data leaks — Rio
Classical advocacy.
Integrated with the future.
Sola Advogados Associados practises a craft of advocacy, with personalised service, discretion, ethics and attention to the decisions of courts throughout Brazil. At the same time, it treats electronic procedure, digital evidence and artificial intelligence as the new order of the profession, without losing the humanity essential to drafting and to the execution of the work.
The firm of Marcos Sola treats data protection as a fundamental right and cybersecurity as the technical means of securing it. Before the Superior Courts, it argues the integrity, authenticity, traceability and the possibility of independent verification of every digital exhibit: information existing in digital form which, when related to a given fact, may be examined to help confirm, clarify or contest that fact.
The firm holds a contract with a company in Switzerland, the country with the world’s most rigorous legal ecosystem for data protection, with the right to use servers in that country, which store all digital files encrypted at source, even before the documents are uploaded.
This practice rests on more than sixteen uninterrupted years of advocacy, from paper files to the digitisation of the records and of the firm’s own archives.
Based in Rio de Janeiro, the work extends to the Superior Courts and to several States of the Federation, among them Minas Gerais, Bahia, the Federal District and Maranhão, appearing before the Federal Courts of Florianópolis, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Curitiba, Salvador and Brasília, the Regional Federal Court of the 4th Region, the 1st Military Judicial Circumscription and the 8th Military Judicial Circumscription, in Pará. The practice also covers Fortaleza, Ceará.
In downtown Rio, on Avenida Graça Aranha, the office gathers the silence of the classical room and the density of cases that no longer fit on paper.
Cargo worth R$ 100,000 recovered in Ceará after fraud against a Rio de Janeiro company
In Maracanaú, the Ceará Civil Police recovered a shipment of eyeglass lenses worth approximately R$ 100,000, diverted through an online transaction involving a Rio de Janeiro company represented by Sola Advogados Associados.
As legal counsel for the company affected by the fraud, Marcos Sola travelled to Ceará and met personally with the police chief responsible for the case, providing information and digital evidence that supported the police operation and the real-time location of the cargo.
